Behind the scenes
The work behind the frame
A film is shaped long before the final image reaches the screen. These behind-the-scenes moments show the process around directing, cinematography and production. From preparation and technical decisions to performance, collaboration and the moments in between takes.
Every set is different, but the objective remains the same: create the conditions in which cast and crew can do their best work and the film can become more than what was written on the page.

On set
Directing is as much about communication as it is about images
The work happens between departments, performances, timing, practical limitations and the unexpected things that only appear once a production is moving. Those moments are often where the film finds its real character.
